"TURBO MILANO", THE BLUE STATEMENT IN TOWN
Turbo is the real place to be in Milan, by now. I’m not biased, don’t get me wrong: I love the city, I love eating, I love drinks, that’s for sure. But it’s not the point.
Turbo is the place which did not exist in Italy, before July 2020.
Turbo is design.

Founded by Acapulco, Turbo is a restaurant where innovation and tradition meet and clash: a mixology bar, an event venue where enjoying different workshops and exhibitions, and where you can learn, share and improve.
The brand identity is strong and fresh, and the unexpected mix between the real Italian food culture and the style chosen for the overall communication, makes the raw and genuine ingredients pop out.
BLUE IT’S THE WARMEST COLOR
Despite the color theory, which positions the shades of blue in the so-called transition zones of cold colors (like greens or purples), the blue - specifically the PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue - has been selected as the color of the year 2020, for entirely different reasons.
Turbo’s palette is slightly different but the vision take the parts: a space where you can anticipate the future and improve your experiences. New lifeblood for sustainable development.
In this perspective, Turbo wants to be limpid like water (or the large windows bordering the Navigli), wants to encourage us to look beyond, to think and to challenge us while sipping a cocktail, while tasting some comfort food, while thinking to the environment and the self.
Turbo starts from the literal meaning of a rotary engine, which is actuated by the reaction of a current of fluid subject to pressure in order to improve the performances.
Here, the driving force is the sustainable development. The main resource of the space and its spirit is the 100% renewable energy. Following the example of Acapulco, which has decided to be a plastic free Agency since 2018, Turbo maintains this approach in every single aspect. Organic materials and local suppliers are what almost completely ensure the reduction of the use of plastic.
The traditional Italian cuisine is the heart of Turbo. The quality and freshness of the ingredients are the basis of the menu. The mission is to respect the tradition and the taste of the Italian classic projecting it in the near future.
Modern and innovative cooking techniques have the duty to elevate the power of the Italian tradition making it even more exceptional.
For leavened dough, Turbo chose the electric oven to minimize the emission of CO2.
Turbo proposes his approach to mixology - the art or skill of preparing mixed drinks - while exploring the roots of Italian classics. The drinks’ proposal is conceived as a path through the interior emotional journey of men.
There are mainly three states of mind that inspired the drink list:
- the praise of the ephemeral (cocktails that celebrate both the ephemeral and the roots that Turbo is adding to the city of Milan) ;
- the emotional experience (cocktails designed to precisely trigger those chemical reactions that can arouse feelings, emotions and moods) ;
- the understanding of ethics (cocktails that represent an effort to improve our future).
With a total of 600 square meters divided into two main spaces, Turbo is born as an ideal place for events and exhibitions, a comfortable place furnished with elegant finishes and technological details. The dynamic strip led system by Relight offers the possibility to change the chromatic spectrum of light diffusion and its movement at any time, changing the space and the perception of it. Combined with a Void soundsystem, the room offers an acoustic and bright setting of the highest quality.
