The 50th cycle of the WA Awards 10+5+X is now open for entries. The submission deadline is March 31, 2025 (23:59 GMT +0). Architects, architectural firms, interior designers, interior design firms, and students of architecture and interior design are invited to submit their projects. This is a unique opportunity to showcase outstanding architectural and design projects on a global stage. ADF (NPO Aoyama Design Forum) will support the WA Awards as a media partner.

Open to architects, architectural firms, interior designers, interior design firms, and students of architecture and interior design.

Categories and Submissions

The WA Awards accepts projects under two major sections:

Architectur
  • WA Designed Award: Projects that have not been built.
  • WA Realised Award: Projects built within the last 10 years.
  • WA Student Award: Conceptual projects designed by students in undergraduate or master’s programs.
Interior Design
  • WA Realised Award: Interior design projects completed within the last 10 years.
  • WA Student Award: Conceptual projects designed by students in undergraduate or master’s programs.
Evaluation Criteria

Entries will be assessed based on innovation, originality, and creativity in design. The WA Awards aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice, considering both the design and the discussions among members and architects about the submitted projects.

Selection Process

The WA Awards follow a two-step selection process. The first selection is made by WAC Honorary Members and previous WA Award winners, who determine 10 winning projects. The second selection is made by WAC Members, who vote for an additional five winning projects.

  • Realised Category: $240
