Pop-up diary in Tokyo
Tiffany & co “Legendary Diamonds by Tiffany”
- Mitsukoshi Isetan Store in Shinjuku
- 31st of January – 6th of February 2024
The “Legendary Diamonds by Tiffany” pop-up celebrates the famous “Bird on a Rock” brooch by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany, first introduced in 1965 as a symbol of joy, freedom, and possibility. This iconic creation has retained its timeless appeal, evolving into a series of extraordinary pieces inspired by the original design. With this small event, Tiffany & Co. demonstrates its ongoing exploration of beauty and spirit of innovation.
The pop-up space is simple yet elegant, decorated with a blue carpet, white walls, and white and silver displays. However, the highlight is the façade facing the corridors, which is entirely covered in rectangular tiles that recall the shape of the diamond in the “Bird on a Rock.” These steel tiles are coated with a Tiffany-blue and deep-blue gradient film, a detail that makes this pop-up truly exceptional.
Chanel “Rouge Allure Velvet Nuit Blanche”
- Tokyo Midtown Hall in Roppongi
- 14th – 23rd of March 2024
To mark the launch of the Rouge Allure Velvet Nuit Blanche lipstick collection - an homage to the colors of the night - Chanel has crafted an exclusive nocturnal boulevard, inviting guests to explore its world of night-time beauty. The Maison presents a boulevard in the city’s heart to showcase the Rouge Allure Velvet Nuit Blanche line, a lipstick with a velvety finish that embodies the essence of nighttime hues. The entrance, styled like a traditional boutique, marks the beginning of a journey through eight shades, each inspired by a specific time of night.
Among the highlights, the French Maison presents Cinéma Le Luxor, where visitors can enjoy short films starring Margot Robbie, and a speakeasy called Red Note, dedicated to exploring different nuances of the Allure fragrance for both men and women.
Further along the boulevard, a dazzling display of glitter balls recreates the vibrant atmosphere of Les Bains Rouges club. The Grand Allure Hotel invites guests into a star-style dressing room, complete with Chanel attire and accessories, while a hidden door leads to the Grand Salon Rose, a private space accessible by reservation for 15-minute personalized makeup and skincare consultations.
For Chanel enthusiasts, an exclusive Night Store with a neon-lit sign, reminiscent of Japanese kombini shops, offers a unique shopping experience for anyone in need of lipstick at any hour.
