JLL and IE University expand Design Wonder Award to foster next-generation talent in spatial design
JLL Project and Development Services (PDS), in partnership with IE School of Architecture & Design at IE University, has announced the second edition of the IE and JLL Design Wonder Award, offering full-tuition scholarships to nine students worldwide. The initiative will support recipients in pursuing a Master in Interior Design in Madrid during the 2026–2027 academic year.
Applications are open through April 30, 2026, via the program’s official website. The award aims to attract emerging designers with strong potential to contribute to the evolving field of interior and spatial design.
The ten-month, full-time master’s program adopts a comprehensive approach to interior design, addressing projects across multiple scales—from residential settings to complex shared environments. Its curriculum integrates strategic thinking, applied research, and technical development, with a focus on the relationship between human experience and the built environment. Graduates may also have opportunities to join JLL’s design teams or Tétris Design and Build, the firm’s design and construction division.
The initiative comes at a time when the design of contemporary spaces is undergoing significant transformation. According to JLL’s 2026 Design Perspectives Report, there is growing demand for flexible, adaptable environments that merge technological innovation with sensory experience, particularly in sectors such as offices, retail, and hospitality. The collaboration between JLL and IE University reflects a broader effort to bridge academic training with professional practice in response to these shifts.
IE School of Architecture & Design, one of six schools within IE University, emphasizes innovation and interdisciplinarity in its academic model. With campuses in Segovia and Madrid, the school combines hands-on learning, fabrication labs, entrepreneurship initiatives, and management training across programs in architecture, real estate development, design, and fashion.
