The place where indulgence is transformed into a true work of art
Under the direction of Chloé Migneault-Lecavalier and Loïse Desjardins-Petrone, Lecavalier Petrone has risen to become a temple dedicated to exquisite indulgence. With their flourishing success, these two artisan entrepreneurs have decided to transform their space, turning it into a workshop-boutique where every corner breathes the art of gourmet confectionery.
Nestled in the heart of the Pointe-Saint-Charles neighborhood in Montreal, their sanctuary, once a simple open-concept commercial space, now aspires to become the ultimate haven for sweet pleasures. However, to perpetuate their work in this blessed place, they have sought the architecture and design firm Dupont Blouin assistance, aiming to transcend the limits of the existing space without relocating. The ambitious and exhilarating mandate entails a total renovation, aiming to optimize every parcel, and to magnify every detail, all without compromising the quality or efficiency of their production.

From the elaborated program, the essence of their aspirations emanates: a boutique space that is both functional and aesthetic, a checkout area allowing adept navigation between online orders and in-store purchases, strategically positioned preparation zones to enhance each creation, and an office space offering a breathtaking view of their sweet kingdom. The goal is to spotlight the delectable treasures that emanate from their expert hands. Thus, the palette of colors, soft and refined, harmonizes seamlessly with carefully chosen materials: the speckled black porcelain mosaic evoking the softness of vanilla chantilly, solid surface countertops facilitating maintenance, and galvanized steel adding a subtle industrial touch.

Inside, delicate curves guide the gaze, creating a symbiosis between space and displayed products, while curtains delicately delineate the public space from the necessary privacy for preparations. Strategically placed openings offer fleeting glimpses of artisans at work, reinforcing the intimate connection between creator and audience.

About Dupont Blouin
Dupont Blouin is an architecture and design firm based in Montreal, created by the association of two complementary architects, Marie-Josée Dupont and Olivier Blouin: yin and yang, measure and deployment, cold and hot, eye and eye. Lovers of both architecture and nature, they embrace pure lines, precise details, and organized and integrated systems. Specialized in the creation of custom projects, each detail is thought out, each material is privileged for its durability, and each color is combined for harmonious interiors and exceptional spaces. From high-end residences to neighborhood grocery stores, from office layouts to custom furniture, they seek to balance forces and align elements to create mastered, magnified, and appreciated spaces.
