About the Exhibition

ADF (NPO Aoyama Design Forum) launched the “ADF Art Gallery Project” to support young artists. The 7th edition of this exhibition will be held with the exhibition “My images of Yoshio Nakajima” by Sakae Okatomi, who is an active photographer, from November 26th to 30th, 2019.

Yoshio Nakajima / 中島由夫

In this exhibition, the 80th anniversary of Yoshio Nakajima's birth (1940〜) , a Swedish-based artist who participated in the COBRA (avant-garde movement) group, will be exhibited with photographs of his activities from the viewpoint of Okatomi. Nakajima will also come to Japan from Sweden and will be in the exhibition every day during the exhibition. If you are near the venue, please feel free to drop in and enjoy the works.

Sakae Okatomi

In 1971, he started his camera career under the influence of his parents and majored in commercial art at a university in the U.S. Worked at Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. and retired from Toppan in March 2019. Currently, he is active in photography as a "deltarhythm". Work free and take pictures of people and things he likes.
