The shortlist includes Seoul-based Teo Yang Studio, shortlisted for interior designer of the year, Finnish practice Studio Laurids Gallée, shortlisted for emerging designer of the year and Paris-based product designer Neil Poulton, shortlisted for designer of the year. Dutch practice Studio Sabine Marcelis has been shortlisted for designer of the year with recent projects spanning an installation featuring four rotating glass pillars for the High Museum of Art in Atlanta and a water fountain made using repurposed onyx stone in Amsterdam.
