About the exhibition
Kawamura Museum presents "Painting into Sculpture" exhibition from Sep. 14 to Dec. 8, 2019.
Among the outstanding painters of the 20th century, some artists crossed genres and produced novel three-dimensional works. It is possible to say that the viewpoint unique to the painter not confined to the conventional method renewed the history of sculpture in the 20th century.
In this exhibition, the painter's plane and three-dimensional works will be displayed side by side, and 25 painters from home and abroad will introduce about 80 experiments that they have tried out of the canvas.
