Dezeen Awards Comes Back with New Categories and Increadible Judges
Dezeen Awards 2023 is open! Start your entries today to be in the running to receive the ultimate accolade for architects and designers across the globe. Now in its sixth year, Dezeen Awards celebrates the world's best architecture, interiors and design and has become the benchmark for international design excellence. Early entry offering 20% discount, ends 29 March. Entries are open until 1 June with late entries accepted until 8 June at a higher fee. New Identity Designed by Micha Weidmann
Swiss designer Micha Weidmann used word pairs and bright colours to create a new identity for Dezeen Awards 2023. Weidmann, founder and creative director of the eponymous London-based design agency Micha Weidmann Studio, has worked with Dezeen for over a decade, designing the Dezeen logo in 2007 and redesigning the site in 2016.
New Categories
There are 11 new categories to enter across the project categories spanning architecture, interiors and design.
New categories in architecture this year include house extension, health and wellbeing, education project, infrastructure and transport project, and mixed-use project.
In design categories, product design (consumer design and wearables), product design (health and wellbeing) and product design (bathroom and kitchen) have been newly introduced.
The sustainability categories now also feature sustainable renovation, sustainable design (building product) and material innovation alongside sustainable building, sustainable interior and sustainable design (consumer product).
Judges Announcement
Architects Farshid Moussavi and David Rockwell, designers Sabine Marcelis and Yves Béhar alongside Moroso art director Patrizia Moroso have been announced as the first five Dezeen Awards 2023 judges. Following announcement has been made naming Creative director Giulio Cappellini, Design Week Lagos founder Titi Ogufere, design gallerist Rossana Orlandi, interiors stylist Colin King and Dutch architect Ben van Berkel as the judges joining the panel. The third announcement of the new judges has been made, naming Architects Piero Lissoni and Patrik Schumacher, interior architect Andrea Cesarman, creative director Ilenia Martini and designer Cyrill Gutsch, who will be judging the entrees with 90 industry professionals.
Partnership with Bentley Motors
This year, Dezeen Awards launched in partnership with Bentley Motors as part of a wider collaboration that will see the brand work with Dezeen to support and inspire the next generation of design talent, as well as champion design excellence and sustainable solutions.

Entries must be submitted by 23:59 UK time on the night of each deadline day.
