Proposal for a new living space

Triptyque & Architects Officee introduce an innovative residential concept that integrates private living spaces with shared areas such as sports facilities, meditation rooms, and wellness centers. Inspired by ancient gymnasiums, this vision seeks to create a harmonious balance between body, mind, and community while promoting sustainable and health-conscious architecture.

By incorporating sports functions into residential buildings, this project aims not only to enhance the quality of life but also to redefine housing as a space for holistic growth. In today’s rapidly virtualizing world, homes should serve as more than just shelters; they should support and challenge the human body. The tower utilizes a load-bearing façade, allowing for flexible interior layouts. By breaking the structural grid, spaces dedicated to sports and wellness are seamlessly integrated. The lightweight glass façade provides panoramic views of Curitiba, fostering a sense of connection between residents and the city.

The exterior design of the high-rise is not only optimized for sun protection but also for livability. By establishing a constant relationship with outdoor spaces, the architecture remains inviting and functional. Stripped down to its essential elements—structure, light, sky, and spatial quality—this minimalist approach, influenced by brutalism, enhances the architectural experience by focusing on fundamental aspects. At the tower’s base, a dual interaction is established: direct urban connectivity at street level and a densely vegetated area that blends nature with urban life. The sleek silhouette, designed in accordance with urban planning regulations, redefines Curitiba’s skyline with its unique presence.

This project embodies principles of psychosocial well-being and is the first in Brazil to receive the Wellness Building certification. Additionally, it has earned Fitwel and Green Building Council certifications and was awarded the Rethinking the Future Award in 2022. Every design decision was made with functionality in mind, yet the outcome is a poetic fusion of urban and natural contexts.
