時を超えるポップアートの回顧展でありながらテーマ展
フランス・パリにある美術館「フォンダシオン ルイ・ヴィトン（Fondation Louis Vuitton）」で「Pop Forever, Tom Wesselmann & ... （ポップ・フォーエバー、トム・ウェッセルマン &...）」展が2024年10月16日（水）から2025年2月24日（月）まで開催される。本展では、今なお世界中のあらゆる世代に影響を与え続ける1960年代を象徴するアート・ムーブメントである「ポップアート」に焦点を当てる。

ポップアート・ムーブメントの中心的人物であるトム・ウェッセルマン（Tom Wesselman, 1931-2004）が生みだした絵画や、様々な素材からなるあらゆる形態の作品、合計150点とともに彼のキャリアを辿る。加えて、世代、国籍を問わず、ポップアートのルーツとしてのダダイズムから、今日のアート・シーンが生んだ作品まで、1920年代から現在までの「ポップ」についてウェッセルマンと共通の感性を有する35人のアーティストによる作品70点も展示される。

1959年のウェッセルマンの最初のコラージュ作品に始まり、大規模なエンボス加工の静物画や、抽象の境界に位置する風景画、そして 2004年の《サンセット・ヌード》までを、フォンダシオンの全4フロアにわたり展開。ウェッセルマンの作品を始点に、より一般的なポップアートの世界を開示する。
