A Refined Design for a Memorable Experience
Located on a busy commercial street in Toronto by architectural design firm StudioAC, the cookie shop aims to provide a simple yet visually striking customer experience. The grab-and-go concept ensures an efficient and seamless flow within the compact space, clearly distinguishing the customer journey from the busy bakery operations while allowing visitors to catch glimpses of the cookie-making process.
At the core of the design is a circular form that interacts tangentially with the side walls, drawing the attention of passersby while guiding customers naturally through key steps—from browsing the menu to ordering, payment, and pick-up. Above, a curved storage bulkhead mirrors this element, framing the interaction between customers and staff to create a more intimate and engaging exchange.
The curved elements are clad in custom pink-stained plywood, reflecting the shop’s brand identity, also developed by StudioAC. This soft pink contrasts sharply with the stainless-steel counter and soffit, emphasizing the distinction between the warm customer space and the functional bakery area. The shop’s packaging design further reinforces this identity, featuring a gradient of the same pink that, when stacked, enhances the visual appeal of the store.
