An immersive gallery blending art, design, and cutting-edge audio technology opens to the public at Casa Decor
Interior designer Jose Lara presents "Atelier Art Gallery × Bang & Olufsen" at Casa Decor 2025, an experiential design space located at Calle Sagasta 33 in Madrid, open from April 3 to May 18, 2025. Conceived as a hybrid between a gallery and a listening room, the space redefines premium sensory engagement through a poetic fusion of technology, design, and contemporary art.
Created in collaboration with Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen, the installation is inspired by the brand's customizable "Atelier" line—products that are individually numbered, collectible, and elevated to the level of functional art within the space.
A Space Where Art, Light, and Sound Converge
The installation is divided into two areas: a dynamic art gallery where sound, light, and video coalesce into an immersive performance, and a sensory discovery room where guests can explore the material and design innovations behind the Atelier audio collection. Each product is treated as a sculpture—both visually and acoustically—inviting visitors to engage not just with what they see and hear, but with how they feel within the space.

Custom-Made Furniture and Handcrafted Details
Much of the furniture was custom-designed by Jose Lara exclusively for this project. Materials such as American walnut, lacquered metal, and natural stone are used to craft pieces that reference both the nostalgic beauty of analog formats (like CDs) and the sleek elegance of modern audio systems. Color plays a major role—particularly the use of lime green and gradient hues—to generate a harmonious yet bold atmosphere. Lighting, integrated with Lutron systems, further enhances the immersive environment.
