“House of Wonders” Exhibition 150 years of Audemars Piguet
Hosted in Ginza, Tokyo's luxury hub, an extraordinary exhibition celebrates the 150-year history of Audemars Piguet, one of the most iconic Swiss watchmaking houses. The “House of Wonders” event - from November 10, 2025, to April 30, 2026 - is designed not only for watch enthusiasts but also for those who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the history, creativity, and engineering behind these mechanical masterpieces.
Spread across two levels, the exhibition space is divided into four sections – “The Gallery of Time”, “Mechanical Secrets”, “The Journey of an Idea” and “Vault of Design”- that lead visitors on a journey where history, tradition, and technology intertwine.
Inspired by the Swiss Maison's original atelier, built in 1907 in Le Brassus, the first room, “The Gallery of Time”, presents itself as a splendid and elegant green bookcase, preserving the history of Audemars Piguet.
Archive documents, books, the family tree, and a screen projecting the Maison's most iconic models are displayed in this space completely enveloped in greenery, a color reminiscent of the Vallée de Joux, the brand's birthplace. Highly evocative of Swiss forests, mosses, and valleys, green is also a recurring hue on the dials of some of Audemars Piguet's most emblematic watches.
“Mechanical Secrets” welcomes visitors into a space with more neutral and soothing colors, designed to encourage careful and close observation of the watch. In this room, the complexity of the watch is revealed, laid bare and displayed in its smallest details.
The central counter, topped by giant rondels, presents all the pieces that make up the watch dials. The individual elements are clearly arranged and displayed, transforming the technical detail into a visual experience. Visitors thus discover what usually remains hidden on the dial and can grasp the precision and refinement of the Maison's savoir-faire.
On the second floor, “The Journey of an Idea” takes visitors on an immersive experience that, through a short virtual game, leads them through virtual environments linked to the history of Audemars Piguet, highlighting its creative and innovative spirit.
After this splendid virtual journey, the last room awaits the visitor. “Vault of Design” entirely characterized by a light metallic blue hue, brings together both rare historical models and contemporary creations, organized according to well-defined themes such as design, function, color, and technology. This layout allows for a clear understanding of the Maison's evolution over time.
The “House of Wonders” exhibition is not only a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the founding of Audemars Piguet, but also a celebration of the ongoing dialogue between memory and innovation. A place of discovery where time is not measured but narrated through the silent ticking of clocks, transforming into experience.
