Symbols of the development and modernisation of the capital

Located at the junction of Dritan Hoxha Street in western Tirana, this 50-storey tower designed by the architectural firm OODA aims to become a symbol of the development and modernisation of the Albanian capital. Combining residential, commercial, office and hotel accommodation, the building reflects the vibrant urban life of the city.

Facades have the power to represent, transform, and reflect the history and culture of a society. Bond introduces a new elevation to Tirana, symbolizing progress and urban transformation. The parametric structure of the building echoes the traditional patterns of Albanian carpets, creating a unique texture on the facade. Just as a dancer embodies precision in every movement, this building weaves a tapestry of history and culture, reflecting the city's evolving identity. OODA's approach provides a tangible representation of Tirana’s evolving identity, merging the influences of historical heritage with contemporary architectural practices.

Characterized by two interconnected volumes of varying heights that converge in a plié-like movement in the urban landscape, the structure creates a silhouette reminiscent of ballet's grace. This interplay of forms prevents the creation of a monolithic urban mass, lending the building an elegant and iconic presence. Inspired by the Albanian mountains, the public and green spaces around the building are designed to foster community interaction and enrich the urban environment. The planting strategy mirrors the natural gradation found in these mountains, with resilient plants at higher levels representing high-altitude flora, while diverse plantings at lower levels reflect the lush valleys, providing a rich experience with a variety of textures and scents.
