Hoshino Architects Wins International Architecture Award for Second Consecutive Year<\/h3>\r\n

T<\/span>he pedestrian bridge Reimei Kobashi<\/a>, located in Chuo City, Tokyo, received the Winner award in the \u201cARCHITECTURAL DESIGN Infrastructure\u201d category at the Architecture MasterPrize 2025<\/a>, an international award recognizing excellence in architecture, urban, and infrastructure design. The project was designed by Hoshino Architects Inc.<\/a>, led by architect Hiroaki Hoshino, who served as Master Design Architect.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The Architecture MasterPrize honors outstanding architectural works from around the world and aims to promote the value and social significance of architectural design. In 2025, submissions were received from 72 countries, demonstrating the global reach of the program. For Hoshino Architects, this award marks a second consecutive year as a Winner, following recognition in the High Rise Buildings category in 2024.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Pedestrian Bridge Reimei Kobashi<\/h4>\r\n

Reimei Kobashi is a pedestrian bridge connecting Kachidoki Station and Harumi 3-chome in Tokyo\u2019s waterfront area. The bridge opened to the public on March 25, 2024. Crossing the Asashio Canal and leading toward Grand Marina Tokyo, the bridge adopts a soft arch form that recalls gentle waves moving across the water\u2019s surface. The continuous white structure appears to hover above the canal, translating the rhythm of the water into a subtle undulating form. Reflections and shadows cast onto the water overlap and dissolve, evoking an image of waves washing over one another and adding a poetic layer to the urban landscape. Composed through continuous three-dimensional geometric transitions, the design conveys a single, fluid direction of movement. This spatial continuity leaves pedestrians with a strong bodily sense of motion as they cross the bridge.<\/p>\r\n\n\t\t
