A New Youth Rehabilitation Centre Redefines Healing Through Design<\/h3>\r\n

I<\/span>n Sainte-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se, Quebec, the new Centre de r\u00e9adaptation pour jeunes en difficult\u00e9 d\u2019adaptation (CRJDA) by ACDF Architecture<\/a> and Stantec proposes a new architectural language for youth care\u2014one built on dignity, empathy, and trust.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Rejecting the rigidity and surveillance often associated with institutional environments, the building embraces gentle curves, natural materials, and soft tones to create a warm, human atmosphere. Its fluid form and calm horizontality convey openness rather than control, setting a tone closer to home than hospital.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The facility is organized into four wings: an educational and support wing containing classrooms, a gymnasium, library, and staff areas, and three residential wings offering safe, nurturing living spaces.
