A<\/span>t the 2024 S\u00f3nar+D festival in Barcelona, where music and tech collide in a cacophony of ideas, Love Hult\u00e9n dropped a bombshell of creativity: the Y-17.This isn\u2019t just a synthesizer\u2014it\u2019s a visceral, otherworldly instrument that turns sound into liquid performance art. The Y-17\u2019s ferrofluid visualizer doesn\u2019t just complement the music; it embodies it, creating a symphony for the eyes and ears.<\/p>\r\n

For those who follows my posts, Love Hult\u00e9n has always embodied a visionary to me, and I\u2019ve been fascinated by his work from a while (you can find here<\/a> another story I wrote about him on ADF). But let\u2019s start with the guts of this beast, nowadays. At its heart is a 17-note synthesizer, equipped with tactile mechanical switches that scream precision. Forget mushy keybeds; these switches are the kind you feel in your fingertips, a nod to Hult\u00e9n\u2019s obsession with making every interaction meaningful.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
