235 Projects for Architecture Longlist<\/h3>\r\n

D<\/span>ezeen Awards 2023<\/a> has announced the 235 projects longlisted for this year's Dezeen Awards in the architecture categories, including buildings by Santiago Calatrava, Renzo Piano and MAD Architects. Aoyama Design Forum proudly supports the award this year again.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The 235 longlisted projects<\/a>, which are in the running for awards in the 13 different architecture project categories, were made by studios located across 36 different countries including Mexico<\/a>, Japan<\/a>, Iran<\/a>, Vietnam<\/a>, Tanzania and Portugal<\/a>. The top seven project city locations are London<\/a>, with 30 longlisted entries, followed by Shenzhen<\/a>, Mexico City<\/a>, Melbourne<\/a>, Beijing<\/a> and Amsterdam<\/a> tied with three each.<\/p>\r\n

Amongst the longlisted buildings this year are an art museum on Karak\u00f6y waterfront<\/a> in Istanbul, a retrofitted brick water tower<\/a> in Utrecht and six brick-clad townhouses that replaced an old petrol station<\/a> in London. Other longlisted projects include an abandoned wooden home with 3D printed walls<\/a> in China, a rammed-earth community arts space<\/a> in Kampala and a children's play pavilion with air-purifying bioreactors<\/a> in Poland.<\/p>\r\n

Dezeen Awards 2023, in partnership with Bentley Motors, will reveal all longlisted projects this week. The interiors longlist will be announced tomorrow, followed by the design longlist on Wednesday and the sustainability longlist on Thursday.<\/p>\r\n

Longlisted projects have been selected from over 4,800 entries from 94 countries for the sixth edition of our awards programme, which celebrates the world's best architecture, interiors and design, as well as studios and individuals producing the most outstanding work. The next stage of Dezeen Awards 2023 will see all longlisted projects assessed by our international jury of leading professionals including architects Farshid Moussavi<\/a>, Thom Mayne<\/a>, Lara Lesmes<\/a> and Omar Gandhi<\/a>. The judges will determine the projects that feature on the shortlists, which will be announced in October. A further round of judging by our master jury will determine the winners, which will be announced in November. The 15 winners of the architecture project categories will then compete to be crowned overall architecture project of the year.<\/p>\r\n\n\t\t
