HOLIDAY SEASON INSTALLATION<\/h3>\r\n

T<\/span>he holiday season has begun and like every year, the competition for the most beautiful installations is exciting! The undisputed protagonist of Christmas celebrations is always the Christmas tree! Let's take a look together at what's around Tokyo.<\/p>\r\n

If you are walking in Roppongi Hills, you cannot miss the installation designed by the Japanese design studio WOW<\/a>. Seven meters high, the revolving and sparkling tree are made up of almost two thousand seven hundred mirrored sheets that reflect the light emitted by the spotlights at the base of it. By swaying, reflecting and diffusing light (from green to white, to pink and to purple) this tree exudes joy and brightness within the gallery.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cWARMEST WISHES\u201d, a three-dimensional artistic monument designed by the graphic artist YOSHIROTTEN<\/a>, is hosted at the entrance to Ginza Six. It consists of a mega tree created with two-tone cubes in bright and warm colors. The artist states: \u201cWe<\/em> created the visuals, exterior decorations, and art pieces with the image of a colorful future where various thoughts come together.\u00a0We hope that it will become a corner that <\/em>will beautiful<\/em>ly colo<\/em>r the <\/em>streets of Ginza during the holiday season.<\/em>\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Inside the Omotesando Hills space, \u201cTHE LIGHT FLOATING CHRISTMAS TREE\u201d awaits you. Designed by the DAISY BALLOON<\/a> studio, the tree is nine meters high and made up of fourteen thousand suspended balloons, all handmade.<\/p>\r\n

A performance delights the gallery visitor. Every twenty minutes the tree changes color to the notes of the Japanese composer and pianist Mamiko Hirai<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

From Omotesando to Marounuchi, Tiffany & Co. excels with its setups. The Anniversary Cafe' in Omotesando is colored in Tiffany Blue with a particular detail: the \u201cpresence\u201d of one of the greatest artists in the world, Andy Warhol<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The entire caf\u00e9 takes on a new face. The walls are covered with mirrored bricks, chairs and pillows in Blue Tiffany and yellow, pendant lamps that evoke the POP style, paintings, and a small POP-UP. A variation of the enveloping ribbon that covers the Blue Box is proposed here for the occasion: no longer white, but colored in orange-red and decorated with the wording WARHOL & TIFFANY & Co. Moreover, two suggestive spots await the customer: a photobooth decorated with colored swallows and a tree with a soft red sofa.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

A tiny but inspiring detail enthuses me. The Christmas tree, with a circular base covered with Blue Boxes and new shopping bags with colored swallows, is adorned with balls that perfectly evoke Andy Warhol's POP style.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Tiffany & Co.\u2019s Christmas does not end in Omotesando. In Marunouchi Naka-Dori a new show begins. Tiffany Blue lights outline the entire street. The Christmas trees and a giant Christmas ball (with POP lights) are the forerunners to a Christmas walk, with a pavilion, white seats, a merry-go-round, games and locations for photo lovers. All are strictly tinted in Blue Tiffany!<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Other exciting trees and arrangements are scattered around the city. For example, Jo Malone's installation at the entrance to Omotesando Hills. A tree created from balls that turn into snowmen. The Cartier trees (Omotesando and Roppongi Hills) with golden, red and transparent balls with the Cartier symbol inside.<\/p>\r\n

If you are in Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, don't miss the splendid installation designed by the Nendo<\/a> studio.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cGlitter in the Air,\u201d in matte champagne gold, an almost eight-meter conical shaft with a conical surface. Formed of cut-out pieces resembling twinkling lights, they float with the airflow expanding, spiraling, and moving randomly. But the glitter doesn't just stop at the tree. It develops with ornamental pieces throughout the gallery and garden terrace, giving a sense of uniqueness and glamour.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
