Japanese designers to hold an exhibition for showing beautiful products to reduce an infection risk<\/span><\/h3>\r\n

A<\/span>rakawa & Co.,Ltd.\u00a0<\/a>supports\u00a0a designerwho iseager to create designed products which is suitable for beautiful scene such as restaurant and hotel room to reduce an infection risk caused by covid-19. This is the second phase of the NEW NORMAL, NEW STANDARD exhibition organized last fall. It received a significant impact, under the theme \"Beautiful Countermeasures against Infectious Diseases.\u201dCountermeasures against COVID 19 during dining are often undertaken with social distance and partitions. However, they can be cumbersome and inconvenient in many cases.We hope to use the power of design to remedythis difficult time, albeit only slightly. For this year\u2019s exhibition, six selected designers developed products to make mealtime a pleasant and peaceful experience.\"adf-web-magazine-new-normal-new-standard-2-meal-time-1\"<\/a><\/p>\r\n

MASHILO<\/h5>\r\n

<\/span>The MASHILO chair is constructed exclusively from Japanese cypress trees sourced in <\/span>Hiroshima Prefecture. In addition to being used as an anti<\/span>-<\/span>infection measure, the chair was <\/span>designed to provide a place where people can enjoy a meal alone, quietly and pea<\/span>cefully, as <\/span>if they were spending time in a forest, thereby allowing them to appreciate the meal itself <\/span>more intimately. With these thoughts in mind, MASHILO comes into being as a place to savor <\/span>a moment with a clear conscienc<\/span>e.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Kaori Akiyama<\/span>, a founder o<\/span>f <\/span>STUDIO BYCOLOR<\/span>,<\/span>is dedicated to find meanings and effects <\/span>that colors have on people. This firm is known to employ wide range of colors in product <\/span>design, space design as well as branding.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

CAMERIERE\u3000<\/h5>\r\n

CAMERIERE is an ideal mask <\/span>stand for storing masks in restaurants, hotels, or at home. The <\/span>vertically elongated structure stores masks efficiently and aesthetically in the minimum space <\/span>required. The simple and soft lines found in cutlery are applied to create a visually <\/span>harmonious <\/span>design.<\/span>

Kairi Eguchi, e<\/span>stablished <\/span>KED<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Japanese industrial design studio<\/span>,<\/span>based in Osaka<\/span>in 2008. With <\/span>the studio philosophy <\/span>-<\/span>\u201cDiscover the unknowns.\u201d, KED not only provide standard design service, <\/span>but also continue expanding its services such as product p<\/span>lanning, design strategy, etc. to <\/span>provide elegant and new approach for a better user experience. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

BREATHE SCREEN<\/h5>\r\n

D<\/span>eveloped to enhance the experience of mealtime, BREATHE SCREEN has a three<\/span>-<\/span>dimensional <\/span>shape, with transparent <\/span>silicone placed on both sides where it meets the cheeks, and is worn <\/span>with the face in between. This mask will reduce the inconvenience of attaching and detaching <\/span>masks during \"masked dinners,\" thereby making the precious limited mealtime of today more <\/span>enj<\/span>oyable.<\/span>

Takanori Urata<\/span>, after<\/span>worked for Tokujin Yoshioka Design, <\/span>established <\/span>TAKANORI URATA <\/span>DESIGN INC. in 2010. In 2014, he started sunsetclimax inc. for outdoor gears industry. He <\/span>received some awards, such as GOOD DESIGN AWARD, iF DESIGN AWARD, DFA D<\/span>esign for <\/span>Asia Awards, German Design Awards and so on. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Object \u2161<\/h5>\r\n

Object <\/span>II<\/span>is a splash<\/span>-<\/span>proof set of partitions that enhance the enjoyment and vitality of dining. <\/span>The vibrantly hued acrylics add flavor to the space instead of just functioning as tasteless <\/span>partitions. Moreover, the pillar weights can be used as flower vases to add<\/span>a touch of color to <\/span>meals. It is hoped that the presence of the partitions will be forgotten while dining, and that <\/span>the atmosphere will become a little more like it was before the COVID<\/span>-<\/span>19 disaster.<\/span>

MASK VASE<\/h5>\r\n

MASK VASE is a paper mask case stand designed for use while eating at restaurants. While it <\/span>is a<\/span>product for the \"new lifestyle,\u201d in which wearing masks has become mandatory, it can also <\/span>be used to add flowers and plants after the epidemic that will eventually come to an end. This <\/span>is a design that combines a mask case stand and a flower vase to remin<\/span>d us to live colorfully.<\/span>

Yuma Kano<\/span>, <\/span>founded studio yumakano after working as an assistant to artist Yasuhiro <\/span>Suzuki<\/span>, is b<\/span>ringing the old environment to life through product design, product planning, <\/span>brand direction, interior planning, artwork, and other pr<\/span>ojects.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

OBI<\/h5>\r\n

This is a unique freestanding handkerchief that can also be used as a cup sleeve.The<\/span>shape of <\/span>the handkerchief is cylindrical to make it as compact as possible when placed in a pocket, yet <\/span>self<\/span>-<\/span>standing on a desk to help it dry naturally. The product was designed based on the <\/span>manufacturing process of Hirafu Orimono's knitted Japanese belt<\/span>for the Kimono called an Obi, <\/span>so that it can be created efficiently and would create the appearance of an Obi when attached <\/span>to a coffee cup.<\/span>
