Fitness Tracker Company WHOOP's Headquarter Expansion<\/h3>\r\n

E<\/span>lkus Manfredi Architects<\/a> recently completed an expansion of WHOOP<\/a>\u2019s headquarters in Boston\u2019s Fenway neighborhood to accommodate for the company\u2019s rapid growth. Founded in 2012 by Harvard graduate Will Ahmed,\u00a0WHOOP is known for its fitness tracker and the services (software and membership) they provide which help maximize athletic performance for professional athletes to avid amateurs.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Building on the functionality and success of the original workplace finished in 2018, the design supports the increased needs of WHOOP\u2019s high-tech enterprise with additional space for development and testing of its innovative fitness tracker as well as amenity spaces for clients and employees.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The science, technology, and testing facilities are on full display in WHOOP\u2019s workspace. Immediately visible when visitors enter are the gracious, daylight-filled reception area, a living room\/showroom area, a bank of exercise machines, a glass-walled conference room, and outside the window \u2013 views of the legendary Fenway Park.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The seamless expansion anticipates the current work-from-anywhere realities and includes space for an additional 100 employees with flexible workstations and offices, a variety of meeting and collaboration areas, facilities for product testing and development, areas for exercise equipment as well as spaces for employee relaxation and camaraderie, including an expansion of the caf\u00e9.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

WHOOP provides a large caf\u00e9 to its employees for relaxation, recharging, and socializing. Among the offerings are snack drawers, cold-brew coffee on tap, and a washer\/dryer for post-workout laundry. Additional specialty spaces include a room for new mothers, a gender-neutral bathroom, and a podcast room. With transparency being a key design element, the clean, modern, minimal aesthetic projects the youthful energy, physical involvement, and entrepreneurial spirit of the company.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
