Where Mediterranean Heritage Meets the Spirit of the 1970s

The renowned Spanish design studio EL EQUIPO CREATIVO has completed the interior redesign of all public spaces at the iconic Kimpton Los Monteros Hotel in Marbella. Following their celebrated work at Kimpton Barcelona, the studio reimagined the hotel’s interiors with a strong sense of Mediterranean light, color, and a 70s architectural sensibility.

The project draws inspiration from Andalusia’s poetic landscapes and cultural traditions, with abundant greenery, local ceramic craftsmanship, and nods to Picasso’s aesthetics through curves and bold contrasts. A palette of white walls, natural wood, and vibrant upholstery creates a welcoming atmosphere. The lobby features hand-painted murals, while the library and lounges are equipped with wooden sliders and curated artisan objects to evoke the spirit of a private art-filled home.
