Now in its 14th season, the program returns to one of architecture’s most fundamental values: craft. As the pace of digital change accelerates, architects are asking urgent questions about their place in an increasingly automated world. This year’s theme highlights the architects who put human ingenuity at the center of their work, connecting design to labor, material to place, and buildings to the people who make and use them. Whether working with humble resources or cutting-edge tools, today’s leading architects are crafting a new era of architecture through their care and precision—at every typology, scale, and region of the globe.
Reflecting the program theme, this season offers a suite of new categories that emphasize craftsmanship, materiality, and contextual approaches—spotlighting the human element of design. This season also sees the addition of categories honoring sustainable building practices, as well as the health and well-being of building occupants. See the complete list of 124 categories here.
The 14th A+Awards are judged by Architizer’s 250+ jury academy featuring prestigious members of the architecture and design community, as well as luminaries from the art, technology, fashion, media, and real estate industries.
